- Dr. Diane Kaufman is a poet, artist, and child psychiatrist in Hillsboro, OR. She received her medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine and had internship, residencies, and fellowship in Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Child Psychiatry at NYU-Bellevue Hospital. Dr. Kaufman received certification as an expressive arts educational facilitator from Salve Regina University. She has extensive training and experience in the therapeutic use of poetry and story. She is the founder-director of the Arts & Healing Resiliency Center. Dr. Kaufman has received international acclaim for her poetry and co-creative songs on behalf of suicide prevention and mental health well-being.
