- Dr. Donald Brautigam is a Family Medicine specialist based in Westfield, NY. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Martin Army Community Hospital from 1974 to 1977, after graduating in 1974 from SUNY Upstate Medical University. He is on the clinical faculty of the SUNY Buffalo medical school and did a mini fellowship in medical education in 1993-94. He is the founding partner of Westfield Family Physicians in 1979, and a co founder of Great Lakes Medical Research. He has participated as a site principal investigator in many clinical trials sponsored by pharmaceutical firms and NIH studies including ACCORD and SPRINT . Dr. Brautigam has received several honors, including teaching awards, quality of care awards, and has spoken before national audiences on clinical research in a rural practice as well as quality of care.
