  Dr. Needham has been a program director for 20 years. In 2017, He received the Gold Level Program Director award from the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors for his years of leadership and experience. He has been a requested speaker at the American Academy of Family Physician’s annual Family Medicine Experience for over ten years, as well as speaking for the Georgia and Florida Academy of Family Physicians for over 20 years.
  
  Dr. Needham practices full-service family medicine, providing care from “conception to resurrection.” In October 2018, he received the AAFP’s Conference Chair of the Year award for his leadership in the AAFP’s Cardiovascular Medicine Conference. He has received both the 2013 Full-Time Florida Family Physician Educator award as well as the 2007 Georgia Academy of Family Physicians Teacher of the Year. It is his joy and passion to teach students of medicine the wonders of the human body and spirit. He loves his wife of 35 years, his five children (and now three granddaughters), the rigors of outdoor exercise, the wonder and surprise of fishing, and mountain top experiences with friends.
