He completed his medical education at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 1997 and a urology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation from 1998 to 2003. Currently, he serves as Department Chairman and Division Chief at Rush University Medical Center since 2018 and 2022, respectively. He also held a faculty position as Professor of Urology at University Hospitals from 2005 to 2018. Dr. Cherullo has extensive experience in endoscopy, renal cell carcinoma, laparoscopy, nephrectomy, and pediatric urology. His published research includes work on therapies in renal cell carcinoma, robotic surgery, and prostate biopsies. He has received CMS Meaningful Use Stage 1 and 2 Certifications through various Allscripts EHR systems between 2013 and 2017.
