Dr. Edward C. Mader Jr. is a Professor of Neurology at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He specializes in neurology, clinical neurophysiology, epilepsy, and sleep medicine. Dr. Mader earned his medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, where he also completed his undergraduate studies in biology. He completed his residency in neurology at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. Board-certified in multiple areas, including neurology, clinical neurophysiology, epilepsy, and sleep medicine, Dr. Mader holds certifications from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as the American Board of Sleep Medicine. At LSUHSC, he serves as the Program Director of the Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Program and Co-director of both the UMCNO Neurodiagnostic Laboratories and the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
