  • Dr. Edward Tyson received his medical degree from UT Medical School in Houston in 1982. He developed a strong interest in eating disorders during his Adolescent Medicine fellowship at OK Children's Hospital and later as director of Adolescent Clinics there. After a private practice in Austin, TX, he opened the Medical Center for Eating Disorders in Houston, TX and practices there full-time now. He also advocates for those with eating disorders and was been a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders' (AED) Medical Care Standards Committee for 10 years, and an author of the AED's Guide to Medical Care, now in 11 languages.
