  • I received my Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Frontier Nursing University, Kentucky in 2015 with a focus on Leadership and Legislation. My capstone project was used as a platform for MAAPC's successful pursuit of full practice authority for Maryland Nurse Practitioners. I have a Master’s in Nursing (MSN) from Bowie State University, Maryland; a Master’s in Nursing (MS) from Pace University, New York and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee. I am board-certified as a family nurse practitioner with 20 years of primary and urgent care experience. I have worked as an emergency room and critical care nurse; and served as a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Public Health Service. I have served as the president of the Maryland Academy of Advanced Practice Clinicians (MAACP); as a co-chair of the Maryland Nurses Association (MNA) Legislative Committee; as MAAPC’s legislative co-chair and secretary. I am currently part of Annapolis Concierge Medicine with Dr. Stephen Katz in Severna Park.
