• Dr. Elizabeth Wirkowski is a neurologist currently based in Delray Fl, board certified in neurology, vascular neurology and neurocritical care. She is instrumental in promoting stroke as well as neurocritical care in Delray Medical center. She graduated from the Medical University of Warsaw in 1984. She completed her training in neurology, followed by fellowship in stroke and neurocritical care at Long Island Jewish Hospital, affiliated with Albert Eintein School of Medicine.
  After her training Dr. Wirkowski became Director of Cerebrovascular Disorders at Winthrop Hospital Long Island and created, first on Long Island NY , Neurocritical Care ICU, which she headed for several years before moving to Stony Brook University Hospital.
  She is active in teaching Stony Brook residents and students and still serves as clinical professor of neurology at Stony Brook University. She is also teaching Florida Atlantic University students.
  She has multiple presentations and publications.
