BREAST IMAGING SECTION HEAD RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage staff of 30 with 8 direct reports. Responsible for 3 hospital programs, performing 70,000+ exams. Responsible for faculty development and trainee education.
BREAST IMAGING SECTION HEAD ACHIEVEMENTS:
-Created same day biopsy program in 2007. 400% growth in patient volume in first year. Multiple Patient Experience awards
-In 2011, brought same day paradigm in County hospital program. Within 18 months, the time from abnormal mammogram to biopsy went from 89 days to same day biopsy. Improved outcomes and efficiency, with an additional 3000 mammography appointments and improved cancer detection rates
-Created a fellowship program in 2010 and have trained 10 breast imaging specialists
