He completed his BS at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1971, medical degree at Rush Medical College in 1974, internal medicine residency at Rush University Medical Center from 1974-1977, and a hematology and oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 1977-1979. He's currently the Director at Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care at Valley Health System. His areas of expertise include esophageal, colorectal, pancreatic, stomach cancers, and adenocarcinoma. He's contributed to several publications, with many of his works being cited by his peers. He's the recipient of various awards, including the Junior Faculty Clinical Fellow from the American Cancer Society in 1980 and Inside Jersey Top Doctors for Cancer from Castle Connolly from 2012-2014.
