I moved to Dalton, Georgia with my wife Lynh who is also an internist. We got married in 2001 and moved here 1 week later. We now have 2 daughters born 2003 and 2005. I have been very active in local medical affairs. I have been president of our county medical society, chairman of a P and T committee, treasurer of Physicians Health Service, Chairman of the department of medicine, and member of the credentialing committee for the hospital. I also served as chief of staff/president of the medical staff at our hospital with about 150 active staff physicians. I work in private practice alongside my wife with 3 other physicians. Our hospital is a 300 bed hospital that serves a regional referral center sandwiched between Atlanta and Chattanooga, TN. I also worked part time as an emergency room physician from 2003 to 2020. I continue to work part time as a hospitalist for Hamilton Medical Center. After my time in medical staff leadership, I was selected to be on the Board of Trustees for Hamilton Health Care Systems.
