Summary
- An expert in sports medicine, Etan P. Sugarman, MD specializes in the treatment of athletes of all abilities, from high school to professional players to weekend warriors. After completing his training in orthopaedic surgery, Etan spent an additional year at the world renown Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic where he helped take care of the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Sparks, USC football, MLS soccer, Fullerton College and Carson High School football programs.
An avid surfer, skier, violinist and former competitive basketball player, Dr. Sugarman understands that each athlete is different, and a successful return to sport requires consideration not only of the injury but of the entire athlete - the risk factors that predispose them to recurrence, as well as their specific timeline and goals.
