He lived as a refugee in Turkey while volunteering for the United Nations to assist other refugees. He completed his medical education as an inaugural class at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2021 and an internship in Internal Medicine at the Texas Institute for Graduate Medical Education and Research, serving the underserved population of Southside San Antonio.
He then spent a year furthering his medical and dermatology training in Florida, where he participated in FDA and investigator-initiated trials as a sub-investigator.
His recent publications cover a variety of topics, including reconstruction techniques after Mohs surgery, drug-induced conditions, laser treatments, and pediatric dermatological disparities, and have been featured in respected journals such as JAAD Case Reports, Dermatologic Surgery, Dermatological Review, Journal of Cosmetic In Dermatology (JCD), Journal of Drugs in Dermatology (JDD), Cutis, SKIN The Journal of Cutaneous Medicine, The Journal Of Clinical And Aesthetic Dermatology (JCAD), and Harvard Public Health Review (HPHR).
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Yousefian enjoys spending time with his family and friends, volunteering at Habitat for Humanity, swimming, and playing a Persian musical instrument called “Daf”.
