- I am a neurosurgeon at the Mount Sinai Health System in New York City.
As an assistant professor in the Department of Neurosurgery, I practice general brain and general spine surgery, adult epilepsy surgery, and neuromodulation surgery. I am the Director of the Adult Epilepsy Program at the Mount Sinai Health System.
I completed a postgraduate fellowship in Epilepsy Neurosurgery from University of California, San Francisco, under Dr. Edward Chang, and another fellowship in Movement Disorders Neurosurgery under Dr. Philip A. Starr and Dr. Paul Larson. My undergraduate degree is from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State and my medical degree from the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. I completed my Neurosurgical Residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Throughout my career i have been very interested in clinical research and have published in a variety of scholarly journals including Neurosurgery, Neurotherapeutics, Interventional Neuroradiology, and Journal of Neurology Neurosurgery and Psychiatry.
I am fluent in Russian and conversational in Spanish.
