His clinical and research focus includes: (1) Precision medicine: identifying genetic alterations unique to each patient to guide treatment choices or clinical trial participation. (2) Liquid biopsies: studies the incorporation of new technologies to individualize care and bring research findings to patient care. (3) DNA damage and repair: development of genomic biomarkers of homologous recombination repair. (4) Hereditary cancers: expertise on the treatment of patients with strong family history of cancer or carriers of hereditary mutations of cancer risk genes, including BRCA1, BRCA2, and others.
