Summary
- I am a Pediatric Hematology and Oncology clinical fellow at the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. I completed my Pediatrics training through the Accelerated Research Pathway at Cincinnati Children’s. I am currently the recipient of an NIH K12 grant through the Pediatric Scientist Development Program and am actively researching Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) in the laboratory of Dr. Daniel. Starczynowski.
My clinical interests are directed towards relapsed and refractory AML and developing novel therapeutic approaches supported by our work in the laboratory.
My long-term research interests involve the development of a deeper understanding of the complex molecular, cellular, genetic and epigenetic underpinnings of hematological malignancies. My overall short-term goal is to identify novel therapeutic targets in MDS/AML ultimately translating these into clinical application for treatment of an otherwise devastating childhood disease.
