Summary
- Dr. Nikolskaya trained in neurology at the University of California San Diego. During her residency, she developed expertise in management of various neurological conditions including strokes, movement disorders, seizures, traumatic brain injury and headache disorders. Following residency, Dr.Nikolskaya completed an ACGME accredited Clinical Neurophysiology fellowship at Harbor-UCLA where she became skilled in electrodiagnostics including electroencephalography, electromyography, nerve conduction studies. During her fellowship, Dr.Nikolskaya acquired additional expertise in neuromuscular disorders, headache, epilepsy, and botulinum toxin injection treatments of various conditions including chronic migraines, spasticity and dystonia. Upon completion of fellowship, Dr.Nikolskaya became an associate staff neurologist at Harbor-UCLA where she teaches students, interns and residents on clinical management and gives educational talks. Since the fellowship and presently, Dr. Nikolsaya works in a private neurology group where she treats patients with traumatic brain injury, migraines, neuralgia, seizures, musculoskeletal diseases, Parkinson’s, stroke, spinal cord injuries and peripheral nerve injuries.
Dr.Nikolskaya has been a diplomate of American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) in Neurology since2015 and maintains an active certification. In 2017, Dr.Nikolskaya became a diplomate of an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. Nikolskaya also became certified as a Qualified Medical Evaluator for the State of California in the Division of Workers Compensation.
Since 2017, Dr.Nikolskaya has been applying her expertise in neurology while serving as an independent medical evaluator for patients with neurological injuries.
