Summary
- I am a pediatric neuropsychologist who founded and directed the Neuropsychology Division at Children's National for 21 years, and prior to that similarly established and directed the Division of Pediatric Psychology/ Neuropsychology at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore for 13 years. My interests are in the clinical, research and training areas of practice with a focus on mild traumatic brain injury/ concussion. I have worked with many different organizations such as the CDC, medical and school systems, and youth/high school, college and professional sports teams to improve the recognition, diagnosis and treatment of concussions. More recently, I am interested in the important role of physical exercise and sports participation in youth as it promotes their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development as well as how these holistic health factors promote lifelong physical activity.
