Summary
- Dr. Nguyen joined NHRA in 2019. After completing residency training at the prestigious Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University of Medicine in St. Louis, he expanded his knowledge and skills with fellowship training in abdominal imaging and cross sectional interventional radiology at UCLA where he also served as a clinical instructor.
Clinicians trust his expertise in hepatobiliary, oncologic, and gynecologic imaging with command of cutting edge MR imaging techniques including MR liver elastography with fat and iron quantification, multiparametric prostate and rectal MRI. While at NHRA, he developed a tailored MRI protocol for detection and preoperative planning for women with endometriosis. He also incorporates cardiovascular imaging and nonvascular interventional procedures to his practice to contribute to comprehensive patient care.
Beyond his clinical pursuits, Dr. Nguyen has taken a keen interest in imaging informatics and the integration of artificial intelligence in radiology. As assistant director of IT/informatics with NHRA, he actively contributes to the advancement of healthcare technology ensuring that his colleagues and patients benefit from the latest developments in the field.
Dr. Nguyen holds other leadership positions including Medical Director of Body CT, Assistant Medical Director of Body MRI, and Supervisor of Imaging at Hoag Urgent Care.
