• Dr. Cadena-Forney is a board certified family physician who specializes in addiction medicine. She believes in the philosophy that compassionate, attentive and respectful care helps to build trusting relationships with patients. She graduated from Universidad de La Sabana Medical School in Colombia in 2001. She completed an internship in Pediatrics at Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2002, and in 2003 she joined the Family Medicine residency program at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore Maryland from which she graduated in 2006. She practiced as a family physician with Providence Medical Group in Snohomish Washington for 15 years. She also provided care at the urgent care clinics within the Providence health system on as needed basis, and covered the inpatient detoxification unit for drugs and alcohol at the Providence Hospital in Everett for over 5 years. Since 2019, she has been with the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians practicing outpatient addiction medicine at the Methadone clinic, and in October 2021 she became their medical director . She has also served as medical consultant for the Spanish news program Univision Seattle, and has been the medical director for the Pregnancy Resource Center of Snohomish County since March 2015. Her bilingual skills also allow her to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients.
