- Dr. Haleh Van Vliet is an ABEM certified Emergency Medicine Physician currently working in Pennsylvania. She completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics after graduating from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Her undergraduate degree is in Neuroscience, with a minor in French, from Vanderbilt University. She worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician with Tower Health Medical Group from 2020 to 2025, where she helped launch the Montgomery County Street Medicine program in 2021 providing healthcare to people experiencing homelessness. She subsequently served as the program's medical director from 2023 to 2025. Dr. Van Vliet has spoken nationally about the intersection between EMS and Street Medicine and has published several pieces of poetry. She has received multiple honors, including the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award. She is currently transitioning into a career in correctional medicine and remains committed to elevating vulnerable populations.
