- I am a board-certified psychiatrist with special interests in mood and anxiety disorders in the outpatient setting, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and medical education. I completed my clinical training at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio (medical school), Northwestern McGaw Medical Center (internship), and the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior (adult psychiatry residency), where I served chief residencies in Psychotherapy and Medical Education. I have a Ph.D. in History, with a concentration in the history of science and medicine, from Yale University, with research focused on the history of medical education. I have active medical licenses in California and Pennsylvania, and am interested in telepsychiatry opportunities.
