- Dr. Helen Merritt is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic & orbital reconstructive surgery and is experienced in blepharoplasty, ptosis repair, eyelid tumors and cancer, floppy eyelid syndrome, dacryocystorhinostomy, and eyelid trauma, and more. After completing her ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, she pursued an additional two years of specialized training in oculofacial plastic surgery at Eyesthetica and the USC Roski Eye Institute, one of the few prestigious American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) fellowships. Dr. Merritt then went on to work at the largest oculofacial surgery private practice in Los Angeles prior to returning to her hometown of Dallas, TX.
