- I am board certified in Child, Adolescent and General Psychiatry. For over 30 years, I was a Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. I developed and taught the curriculum on the neuroanatomical, neurochemical and neurophysiological basis of behavior in health and illness which I taught to medical students and psychiatry residents. This has given me a deeper understanding of psychiatric disorders and the pharmacological treatment.
