    After graduating from Harvard College in 1995, Dr. Lipson completed medical school and diagnostic radiology residency at UCSF, and breast imaging fellowship at Stanford. She joined Stanford’s faculty in 2010, focusing on clinical care, teaching, and research in informatics applications in breast imaging and imaging biomarkers of breast cancer risk and treatment response.

    In 2017, Dr. Lipson transitioned to a part-time clinical role at Stanford to pursue industry experience in molecular diagnostics, pharma, and health tech. At GRAIL, she led population-scale clinical studies of a cfNA-based multi-cancer early detection blood test. At Genentech/Roche, she worked on the application of AI and machine learning to longitudinal imaging data. At N-Power Medicine, she directed strategy for the collection and curation of real world data to support oncology trials at the point of care.

    Returning to a full-time clinical appointment in 2023, Dr. Lipson continues her clinical care, teaching, research, and leadership in IT and quality improvement, now enriched by her industry insights.
