Summary
- I am a board certified, fellowship trained pediatric neurosurgeon with over 25 year experience. Clinically my focus has been in epilepsy surgery as well as skeletal dysplasia and craniofacial surgery. I have developed multidisciplinary teams to address each of these clinical challenges.
In epilepsy, I have extensive experience with traditional surgical approaches, LITT, ROSA aided sEEG electrode placement and hybrid electrode placement. My current epilepsy center has consistently been among the top 5 in epilepsy surgical volume in the US.
My research has focused on translational trials using autologous stem cells to treat acquired nervous system injuries (TBI, sensorineural hearing loss and perinatal stroke). I have obtained multiple INDs, and completed two phase 1 trials. We are currently applying for NIH and Shriner’s Hospital funding.
