- Dr. James Klein is an emergency medicine specialist based in Nokomis, FL. He completed a residency in emergency medicine at The MetroHealth System/Case Western Reserve University in 1992. Dr. Klein earned his medical degree from The University of Toledo College of Medicine in 1989, where was awarded the Lange Medical Student Service Award. Dr. Klein earned a BFA in Media and Communications from the University of Cincinnati. He has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine for 30 years, and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP) since 1996. Additionally, he received a Distinguished Civilian Service Award from Washington Twp. Ohio EMS in 2013. He has appeared in several national media productions including: Trauma; Life in the ER, Untold Stories of the ER, ER: Stories of Survival, as well as multiple appearances on local newscasts, providing commentary on public health condcerns. Currently he is the Associate Medical Director and Clinical Lab Director for the Biomat, USA Plasma Collection Facility in Sarasota, FL.
