• A leader in implementing national systems of high quality care, Dr. Jamie Morano is a highly trained doubled boarded specialist in infectious diseases and internal medicine who leverages the telemedicine platform nationally to deliver the highest quality of care to Veterans across the country. Selected as Innovator of the Year in 2025 by the AMSUS, The Society of Federal Health Professionals, she is well known in Federal Health Care Innovation. Serving as Project Lead of the Office of Rural Health Enterprise Wide Initiative for HIV/ID, she has mentored over 25 VA hospital facilities nationally since 2015 and continues to innovate for high quality systems of care using telehealth, data to care systems, and emerging AI health technologies. Partnering with the VHA Innovation Ecosystem and Microsoft Corporation, her award winning team pursues sustainable interventions that combine health policy expertise with technology for sustainable change. Trained at both the Harvard School of Public Health and Yale School of Medicine she has helped developed state and federal telehealth programs with a collaborative and sustainable approach. Dr. Morano continues to innovate health care both at the clinic and national levels to advance patient care.
