• Board-certified regenerative sports medicine physician Jeffrey Lai, MD, CAQSM, RMSK, provides effective and innovative treatments for men, women, and children in the South Bay and Torrance, California. He also serves patients in the Palos Verdes area. Dr. Lai specializes in sports medicine and the use of regenerative medicine treatments such as orthopedic stem cell therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, and prolotherapy.
  
  Dr. Lai spent the first half of his medical career practicing primary care at Long Beach Memorial. His interest in sports medicine led him to start the Long Beach Memorial Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship in 2014. Weekend warriors and non-athletes have benefited from his care, and he has covered sporting events as a sideline physician for various sporting events such as Long Beach State Rugby, USA Gymnastics, USA Women’s Water Polo, Run Disney half marathons, and the World Series of Volleyball.
  
  Dr. Lai is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine from the ABFM. Dr. Lai is the only sports medicine physician in Torrance who is both certified in Sports Medicine and musculoskeletal sonography (RMSK®). Dr. Lai has served as head team physician for the Long Beach State University Athletics Department since 2015.
