He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiovascular disease. Since 1987, he has been practicing electrophysiology at Intermountain Medical Center. He has expertise in paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, cardiac critical care, and cardiac arrhythmias. Dr. Osborn has contributed to several published studies, primarily on atrial fibrillation and its implications, being actively cited in the field. He has led and contributed to clinical trials on atrial fibrillation and heart failure, and has been recognized with multiple CMS Meaningful Use Certifications and other honors. He is a recognized leader in complex cardiac device implants and extractions. As a C.C.D.S. he is well versed in lead management. He started the RF ablation and ICD program at LDS hospital and was first to do Cardiac resynchronization devices and leadless devices at Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City.
