- Jeffrey Weisman, DO, is a cardiologist based in Trevose, PA, with subspecialties in echocardiography, non-invasive cardiology, and preventive cardiology. He completed his residency in internal medicine at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1976. He further trained through a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Jefferson Health Medical Education/Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital.
Dr. Weisman has been providing cardiovascular services to patients since 1980. As an experienced cardiologist with 40 years of clinical practice, Dr. Weisman has been Director of the Special Care Unit of Rolling Hill Hospital; Chairman, Department of Medicine at Oxford Hospital; Chairman, Department of Medicine and Director of the Echocardiography Lab at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital.
He is the past President of the Cardiac CT Institute of North America, a level 3 Coronary CTA center and served as the Director of Cardiovascular Imaging for MNAP Diagnostic Center.
Dr. Weisman is also an accomplished software developer and inventor, having patented an edge detection algorithm for tracking the endocardial boundary during the cardiac cycle for use in echocardiography and other cardiac imaging modalities. He has also patented algorithms for automatic analysis of regional and global left ventricular function and for a noise reducing algorithm that reduces speckle noise in medical images.
Dr. Weisman is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases by the ABIM. He is also board certified in Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and has achieved Level 3 status (the highest level) by the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. Dr. Weisman is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine, Drexel University College of Medicine.
Dr. Weisman is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Fellow, American College of Chest Physicians, and Fellow of the American College of Angiology.
