Dr. May-Ortiz received her undergraduate degree in biology from Cornell University where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She obtained her medical degree from Weill Medical College of Cornell University where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. May-Ortiz completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Overlook Medical Center where she is now a full attending physician. She served as chief resident during her third year and was awarded the Leon J. Anson, MD Resident Teaching Award for her contribution to the education of medical residents. Dr. May-Ortiz practices full spectrum family medicine and sees patients from infancy through adulthood, including geriatric patients. She has a particular interest in adolescent and women's health, as well as common skin problems including the treatment acne and the removal of moles, warts and other growths. Dr. May-Ortiz is originally from New Jersey and speaks Spanish.
