Dr. Jeremy Cotliar is a fellowship trained glaucoma surgeon, and also specializes in both manual and LASER-ASSISTED cataract surgery, refractive surgery, such as LASIK AND PRK, and in PREMIUM IOL TECHNOLOGY for cataract surgery. Dr. Jeremy did his undergraduate training at Washington University in St. Louis where he received his B.A. in Biology. He completed his medical school training at Albany Medical College in 2008. He then completed his 3 year ophthalmology residency at Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2012. Dr. Jeremy Cotliar then went on to do a year of training in glaucoma eye surgery at the prestigious University of California at Irvine.
Dr. Jeremy Cotliar is certified in all of the MIGS (Minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries), including iStent, ECP and trabectome, which are effective surgeries for mild-to-moderate glaucoma.
Jeremy M. Cotliar, M.D. joined the voluntary ophthalmology faculty at New York- Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia University, where he helps train the residents and fellows in anterior segment eye surgery, including cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, and pterygium surgery. Dr. Cotliar also has surgical privileges at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai University.
