Summary
- I am currently practicing as an outpatient Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with Dr Brian Goldman’s office. I also utilize my skills and training as a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) to better understand and treat my patients. Dual certification has provided an abundance of education and knowledge to share with my patients. My office is located in Walnut Creek, CA. I am accepting new patients.
I started my career with an A.A.S in Vocational Nursing from Napa Valley College (1990), then obtained my A.A.S in Registered Nursing (1996), and a B.S.N. in Registered Nursing (1999) from Pacific Union College, Angwin, Ca.
I then continued my education and completed my Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Holy Names University in 2007 in Oakland, Ca.
I had obtained 17.5 yrs of experience at John Muir Behavioral Health working in the patient care nursing department as well as the Infection Control Field/Infectious disease (ID) department.
Then I decided to practice in the very interesting field of Gastrointestinal/hepatology area. I learned a lot and it was interesting seeing the connection that GI has with Psychiatry.
After seeing such connections, I decided to continue my journey in psychiatry. Therefore, I obtained my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Board Certification in 2018 from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.
As a board Certified PMHNP, I have obtained experience and success in developing and operating a couple outpatient programs. I enjoy seeing patients and being involved in their treatment plans as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals to better help the patient with treatment and success.
