Summary

  • I'm Dr. B, a board-certified psychiatrist in Florida. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma disorders as well as maximizing mental wellness. I create treatment plans that are flexible and effective. My patients are most successful when they are motivated to take an active, engaged stance in their mental wellness.

Since I love brains and want to help you take care of yours, get ready to do some work! To get the most out of treatment with me you'll have to put in some effort. That may look like medication compliance, keeping a sleep or mood journal, or working on habit tracking and stacking. We’re going to address all of you, the whole you, from your physical health habits and self-care to emotional well-being and genetic predispositions. Then we’ll find ways to maximize your mental wellness.

What makes working with me different? Two words: therapeutic alliance, which is really just a fancy way to describe our professional relationship where we work together to reach your treatment goals. Having a strong, caring, positive therapeutic alliance with me, means better treatment results for you.

It’s about learning! I’m going to ask questions to learn more about you, and you can ask me questions about anything you want more information about regarding mental health and wellness! Psychoeducation can make a big difference in your results because knowledge really is power when it comes to managing mental health issues.

I understand the importance of a balanced approach to mental health care, considering a person’s unique situation in life and any other medical issues or complicated history that they bring with them. I'm passionate about helping people through life transitions whether graduating from college, moving across the country, or becoming a parent.

I use multiple therapies in combination with medications. It's my goal to help people to make treatment decisions that align with their values through education and guidance!
