• I am an orthopaedic oncologist, academic surgeon, and physician–executive with more than two decades of continuous service at The Ohio State University and The James Cancer Hospital—dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with bone and soft‑tissue sarcomas and advancing the systems that support their care.
  As Associate Chief Medical Officer for Procedural Services and Medical Director for Perioperative and Sarcoma Services at The James, I lead multidisciplinary teams focused on surgical quality, operational excellence, patient experience, and innovative cancer care delivery. My work integrates clinical leadership, systems engineering, and organizational culture to enhance efficiency in high‑acuity surgical environments.
  Nationally, I have held leadership roles across the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (including the AAOS Board of Directors, Chair of the Board of Councilors, and Chair of the Advocacy Council), the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (Past President), and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, where I have helped write national treatment guidelines for bone and soft‑tissue sarcomas for more than 20 years. I have served as a reviewer and editor for major journals and contributed more than 150 peer‑reviewed publications, book chapters, and national clinical guidelines.
  Clinically, I specialize in complex limb salvage surgery, metastatic bone disease, and the surgical management of musculoskeletal tumors in both adults and children. I am passionate about training the next generation of orthopaedic oncologists, having mentored numerous residents, fellows, and faculty who now serve in academic centers across the country.
  Beyond the operating room and administrative leadership, I remain committed to advancing sarcoma research and patient support through philanthropy. I founded Steps for Sarcoma—a charitable event that has raised more than $2.3 million for sarcoma research at Ohio State. I have also led Team Sarcoma for Pelotonia raising $500K.
