Summary
- J. Christian (Chris) Fox went to Tufts Medical School and then did his residency in emergency medicine at UC Irvine, then a fellowship in emergency ultrasound at University of Illinois, Chicago. In 2001 he joined the faculty at UC Irvine where he trained 34 fellows in emergency ultrasound. His primary focus is ultrasound integration into medical education and directs the 4-year ultrasound curriculum at UC Irvine School of Medicine. He is a Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine
He has been the recipient of multiple national awards including most recently the Peter Arger award from the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine for excellent in medical student ultrasound education. His TEDx talk on “The Point-of-Care Ultrasound Revolution” has been viewed 32K times.
He lives in San Juan Capistrano, CA where his favorite pastime is surfing.
