Summary

  • Jonathan G. Kelling, M.D. graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s degree in the area of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. After working in the biotechnology field to find innovative drug therapies, Dr. Kelling decided he wanted more direct patient interaction.

    Dr. Kelling received his medical degree from the University of Loma Linda, where he also completed his residency in Anesthesiology and fellowship in Pain Management. He is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain with a focus on spinal interventions. After he finished his training he was asked to stay-on as faculty, where he had the opportunity to train numerous residents and fellows in Pain Management. Dr. Kelling continues to train other physicians at the Loma Linda Veteran’s Hospital, however, he and his family have settled in the Temecula/Murrieta area. He cares greatly about this community and desired an opportunity to contribute more to this community. The Southern California Spine & Joint Institute has given him this opportunity in the Murrieta office.

    Dr. Kelling has been trained to treat almost any painful condition focusing on disorders involving the spine. He specializes in a minimally invasive approach using fluoroscopy and ultrasound guided injections to treat an extensive array of painful conditions. He takes a team approach in treating all pain conditions where a multidisciplinary, multi-modal approach is utilized
    to produce the best results.

    In his free time, Dr. Kelling spends time with his wife and three children. He is also a huge sports fan and follows everything from football to soccer.
