Jonathan Zager, MD, based in Tampa, FL, is a surgical oncologist, specializing in melanoma, skin cancers and sarcoma oncology. He completed his medical education at Tel Aviv University Sackler School of Medicine, followed by residencies and fellowships at Montefiore Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Zager serves as the Chief Academic Officer at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and a professor of surgery and chair of the Department of Oncologic Sciences the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. His clinical and research expertise encompasses various soft tissue carcinomas and melanoma, with over 400 publications, book chapters and edited textbooks, focusing on melanoma management and outcomes. Dr. Zager serves as an expert on regional therapies for complicated and unrespectable soft tissue malignancies, including isolated, limb infusion, and percutaneous hepatic Perfusion.He has also been involved as the principal investigator several clinical trials pertaining to melanoma and other cancers. Dr. Zager has received multiple CMS Meaningful Use Stage 1 Certifications, was recognized among the Best Doctors in America by Castle Connolly, has been awarded the educator or mentor of the year at Moffitt Cancer Center several times, and recognized as the physician of the year at Moffitt Cancer Center in 2024.
