He is also the Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory at HCA Lake Monroe, where he leads program development and performs a broad range of advanced electrophysiology procedures.
His clinical practice includes catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation and complex atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, implantation and management of pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), and leadless pacemakers, as well as left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) procedures for stroke prevention in patients with atrial fibrillation.
Dr. Diaz has authored various publications in the field of cardiac electrophysiology and is actively involved in clinical education. He serves as a national and international proctor for many of the advanced electrophysiology procedures he has mastered, supporting physician training and program development across multiple institutions. In addition, he is an instructor at the Fundación Cardiovascular de Colombia, contributing to international medical education and training. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS).
