Dr. Albano received his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Dr. Albano then received a Master of Science (M.S.) in Biomedical Sciences at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCUMB), completing his thesis in Neuron Growth and Regeneration. He stayed at KCUMB, where he received his Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree, and was accepted into the Sigma Sigma Phi National Osteopathic Honor Society. While in medical school, Dr. Albano also received his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dr. Albano completed his orthopedic surgery training at the Plainview Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra, Northwell Health, in Long Island New York, where he was elected Chief Resident. Dr. Albano then went on to complete his fellowship in Spine Surgery at the world-renowned Texas Back Institute in the Dallas, Texas area. Here, he was trained in the most cutting-edge spine surgery techniques and technologies, including navigation and robotic assisted surgery, with a focus on minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery techniques. At the Texas Back Institute, Dr. Albano trained with the world leaders in cervical and lumbar disc arthroplasty, and other motion preservation techniques of the spine.
