Joe Breault is a retired family physician who worked at Ochsner Clinic for 31 years. He received his medical degree from Tulane. He is board certified in family medicine and experienced in geriatrics, preventive medicine, public health, and tropical medicine. He was the Chair of the Bioethics Committee at Ochsner Medical Center for 8 years, the executive Chair of the IRB for 18 years, and on the Health System's Board of Directors for 8 years.

Prior to his medical career, he spent a decade working in community development & campus ministry in the Archdiocese of Newark, NJ helping to establish & lead a Catholic charismatic community in Rutherford NJ. During those years he spoke to groups in a few dozen states, Mexico, Canada & Europe; authored 2 books & many articles; and supervised annual conferences bringing as many as 43,000 people together.
