  • Dr. Tauro is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and a nationally-recognized pioneer in advanced orthopedic care for surgical and non-surgical procedures. His patients range in issues of the shoulder, knee, hip, foot and ankle, hand and spine.

    Dr. Tauro is recognized worldwide as an innovator in the development of advanced minimally-invasive treatment methods and procedures for complex sports injuries and degenerative joint conditions. Specifically, Dr. Tauro is one of the earliest pioneers in arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and is responsible for the development of the most advanced technique for arthroscopic rotator cuff repair procedures used today. Dr. Tauro teaches his patented method worldwide.

    As Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedics at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Tauro has been teaching his innovative methods to surgical residents for more than 26 years. He is currently working with the Arthroscopy Association of North America to redefine and improve how arthroscopic surgery is taught and is working to introduce simulator models to enhance teaching methods and surgical outcomes.
