- Joseph Weiner, MD, PhD is a psychiatrist based in Port Washington, NY, with a subspecialty in psychosomatic medicine. Since 2011, he has been in private practice and is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Medicine, and Science Education at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell (ZSOM). Dr. Weiner has experience in psychotherapy, has made significant contributions to numerous publications, and has received national and regional awards such as the Top Doctor/New York Metro Area from Castle Connolly from 2016-2024 and Teacher of the Year from ZSOM in 2015. He is back at school part-time, working on his MFA in creative writing at Stony Brook Southampton, and is writing a memoir about experiences during his late wife's journey with cancer.
