Summary
- Joshua Ewen, MD, was in the first training class of Neurodevelopmental Disabilities at Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins and nationally. As his first faculty job, he was Medical Director of Clinical Neurophysiology at Kennedy Krieger Institute, where he added multiple new service lines, including a sleep lab and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. He also established his own research program in the cognitive neuroscience of autism and ADHD as well as a clinical/cognitive EEG research center that served the whole Hopkins ecosystem. Now Division Head of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics at Lurie Children's Hospital, he is working to expand access to autism/DD care in Chicago. Current research priorities include EEG biomarker development and statistical modeling of cognitive differences in autism.
