Summary
- Hello, I received my medical degree and completed psychiatry residency here in Virginia and was chief resident of Eastern Virginia Medical School's psychiatry program. During residency training, I finally followed my dream of becoming a general aviation pilot. After graduation, I have gained a lot of experience working in addiction, pain, and general psychiatry through the Veterans Health Administration and progressed onwards to earn further pilot ratings. After obtaining mentorship and training under FAA psychiatrist at FAA Headquarters, I became a FAA-designated independent psychiatric evaluator and completed HIMS training in 2024. My goal is to promote aviation safety through specialized aeromedical assessments (for pilots) and working towards becoming an educator in aviation (while working towards my CFI certification). Additionally, I have experience writing-forensic level reports and can complete independent medical examinations (and other specialized examinations) in Virginia.
