  • Dr. Juan Li is a board-certified anesthesiologist with fellowship training in cardiothoracic anesthesia at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), where she also completed her residency. Her clinical experience spans both academic and community settings. After serving as an attending physician in Rhode Island for three years, she returned to BIDMC to focus on high-acuity cardiac cases and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). She holds certifications in both Advanced PTEeXAM and the ASA Diagnostic POCUS Certificate.

    Her professional interests include intraoperative echocardiography, structural heart interventions, and perioperative risk stratification. She has authored peer-reviewed publications on topics such as GLP-1 agonists, valvular heart disease, and device management. In addition to her clinical work, she contributes actively to OpenAnesthesia, the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation (APSF), and the Chinese American Society of Anesthesiologists (CASA) Bulletin, and currently serves as social media editor for the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia (JCVA).
