• Dr. Julie Nguyen, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist, fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), and a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. She is also the founder of Key Dermatology. She specializes in medical, surgical, pediatric and cosmetic dermatology.
  
  Dr. Nguyen was born and raised in the North Texas area (Duncanville) and graduated college from the University of Texas at Arlington summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She developed an early interest in dermatology and while in college she was invited to join the American Academy of Dermatology Diversity Mentorship Program.
  
  She received her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, having achieved the highest honor of becoming elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Society for her exceptional academic performance.
  Following medical school, Dr. Nguyen completed a transitional internship at John Peter Smith Hospital, Fort Worth's main level-one trauma center.
  
  Dr. Nguyen then finished a full three-year residency training dedicated to dermatology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. During her term there, she received comprehensive training in medical, surgical, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology. She also served as Chief Resident in the Department of Dermatology.
  
  Before opening her own office, Dr. Nguyen has previously been in private practice in the DFW area for six years, and has more than ten years of dermatology experience.
  
  ​Dr. Nguyen has published research in several peer-reviewed journals and regularly attends national dermatology symposiums featuring the latest advancements in dermatology in order to bring her patients the most up-to-date care. She is also an active volunteer in the local community.
  
  ​​Julie Nguyen, MD is fluent in English and Vietnamese. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and antiquing.
