Summary
- I am a fellowship-trained, board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with clinical expertise in lower extremity adult reconstructive surgery, which includes:
• Partial knee replacement
• Total knee replacement
• Total hip replacement, including muscle-sparing direct anterior hip replacement surgery
• Complex hip/knee replacement for patients with prior trauma, surgery, or deformities
• Revision surgery for failed replacements
In addition, I have a keen interest and experience in Healthcare economics and policy. I hold an MBA and Health Policy Fellowship from the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and over 25 peer-reviewed publications and awards for research on improving postoperative pain, reducing opioid utilization, and increasing the efficacy and safety of outpatient surgery.
My experiences as a practicing surgeon, researcher, clinical educator, and leader have given me a unique perspective and insights into the challenges, threats, and opportunities facing joint replacement in the current healthcare system. I am passionate about providing high-quality hip and knee care and exploring ways to continue adding value to an invaluable operation.
