• Full Time Physician Assistant in Cardiology:
  Maintained longevity in essentially the same position since college graduation, resulting in continuity, efficiency, and high-quality care for a large patient population. This position began in the private practice setting (Wyoming Valley Heart Group) with Dr. Mark Bernardi and transitioned into the institutional setting of Geisinger Wyoming Valley when the private practice was acquired in July 2013.
  
  Performed all aspects of patient care in the hospital, outpatient clinic, and peri-procedural setting. Gained valuable experience in choosing diagnostic modalities, formulating treatment plans, providing detailed patient education, & preparing patients for cardiac procedures. Performed all inpatient care duties, including completing cardiology consultations, histories and physicals, daily rounds, medication and testing orders, pre and post procedure care and education, acute and emergency cardiac care, and discharge care. Evaluated and managed new and established patients in the outpatient clinic setting. Attained valuable periprocedural care experience for patients undergoing cardiac cath lab procedures, TEEs, cardioversions, etc.

  Adjunct Professor of Clinical Cardiology & Clinical Preceptor at the King’s College Physician Assistant Program:
  Developed and delivered a comprehensive didactic course in clinical cardiology for the King’s College PA Program (alma mater). Used peer reviewed and the most up to date evidence-based medicine sources to develop powerpoint based lectures, totaling approximately 50 hours of direct instruction to a class size of approximately 75 students over several semester years. Created a case study example book inspired by own clinical experiences to be used by the students as an alternative learning source outside of the lectures.
